Design Inspiration - Selling New York

Selling New York on HGTV showcases houses the average person can't afford but I watch it anyway for the design inspiration.

Here's some of shots of an apartment that was featured on the show.  

When the Design Star candidates were given the Donald Trump challenge, I was expecting the apartments to look like the one below but unfortunately the designs were no where close to this apartment. I'm actually still waiting for them to wow me... it's been a sad season so far. But I digress, back to the design inspiration.

This apartment was the epitome of understated elegance but $5.3 million?  It's truly a matter of location, location, location.
